President Larry Roberts
called the meeting to order at 11:10am at the AFL-CIO Bldg. There was a roll
call of the officers by Secretary Cory L. Purifoy.

Old Business from December
20, 2008:
1. The Executive Board Minutes from November
were provided for review and questions. A motion was made to accept the Executive
Board Minutes from November with corrections. (Motion passed)
2.
Vice-President Linda Daniel led a discussion about the possible changes
in the Family Medical Leave Act.
3.
Vice-President Linda Daniel spoke about the elimination of Tour 2
operations at the General Mail Facility.
4.
President Larry Roberts made a motion to pay Derelle Young $150.00 for
his photography services during the local’s annual Christmas party. (Motion
passed)
5. A motion
was made and seconded to adjust the December giveaway to 30 turkeys, 20 hams,
and no chicken. (Motion passed)
6. A motion
was made by President Larry Roberts and seconded by Treasurer Dan Hillis that
the local spend up to $850.00 to send (8) people at his discretion to attend
the Multi-Craft Seminar in

Betty Phillips (4-H Club Member) made a formal request before the e-board that the local to give $300.00 to the
turkey leg buyer’s group to help with underprivileged youth’s participation in the
Travis County Youth Show to be held in January. (Motion passed)
New Business:

and questions. A motion was made to

purchasing a new television at the General Mail Facility to replace the old

reimbursing dental premiums for Sister Debra Hines. Sister Hines will be
reimbursed for lost dental premiums after the actual amounts have been
verified.

Treasurer Dan Hillis will need an additional 60hrs of LWOP due to the
Department of Labor’s CAP audit. A motion was made to pay 60hrs of LWOP to
Treasurer Dan Hillis for Department of Labor’s CAP audit.
