Executive Board Meeting Minutes

President Larry Roberts called the meeting to order at ____am at the AFL-CIO Bldg. There was a roll call of the officers by Acting Secretary_______.

Excused Absent: Cory L. Purifoy, John Mercado, Ben Soliz, John Castillo, and Leonard Lara

Old Business from April 18, 2009:

1. The Executive Board Minutes from March 21, 2009 were distributed for review and questions. A motion was made by VP Linda Daniel and seconded by Brother John Castillo to accept the Executive Board Minutes from March. (Motion passed)

2. Brother Ben Solis made a friendly amendment that the local donate the old broken APWU television to Goodwill. A motion was made to donate the old broken APWU television to a charitable organization. (Motion passed)

3. There was a discussion about updating various aspects of the local’s computerized grievance system and other employee information.

4. A motion was made to pay Legislative Director John Castillo up to 12hrs of Union LWOP to assist the AFL-CIO Labor Council with posting up signage and other duties on May 8-9, 2009. (Motion passed)

5. Brother Roy Vasquez reported that the local spent $1,607.00 on the new APWU television for the GMF.

A motion to adjourn was made and seconded.
