Executive Board Meeting Minutes

11/20/10

 

President Larry Roberts called the meeting to order at 11:02 am at the AFL-CIO Bldg. There was a roll call of the officers by Secretary Cory L. Purifoy. There was a quorum.

 

Excused Absent: John Mercado, Leonard Lara

 

Unexcused Absent: Joe Aaron, George Roman

 

New Business:

 

 

  1. The Executive Board Minutes from October were distributed for review and questions.  A motion was made and seconded to accept the Executive Board Minutes from October. (Motion passed)

 

  1. A motion was made and seconded for the local to purchase a (1) year trial membership in the amount of $950 to access Cyber Fed Search Program. (Motion passed)

 

  1. A motion was made to pay up to $70 to any delegate who attended the National Convention in Detroit, MI with proper documentation. (Motion passed)

 

  1. A motion was made and seconded to pay 8hrs of LWOP to Health Plan Representative Al Garcia for his work during the Health Fair. (Motion passed)

 

  1. A motion was made and seconded to make 12:30pm the set time for the turkey giveaway during the General Membership Meeting. (Motion passed)

 

  1. A motion was made to for reconsideration for the previous motion of giving out the turkeys at 12:30pm. (Motion passed)

 

  1. A motion was made and seconded to hand out the November and December turkey, ham, and chicken giveaway at 12:30pm. (Motion passed)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  1. ISSUE OF CONSTITUTIONAL INTERPRETATION!!! SEE LARRY ROBERTS

 

  1. A motion was made and seconded to pay half of the current amount as a “bounty” for signing up new transfers. (Motion passed)
