E-BD Minutes

November 19, 2005

President Roberts called meeting to order at 11:09am at the AFL-CIO building.  The secretary made roll call of the officers.  All officers were present.

The October E-BD minutes were passed out to the officers.  A motion was made by Brother George Roman and second to accept the minutes.  Motion pass.

Unfinished Business:

1. The Christmas committee made a report about the Christmas/Installation party.  The party will be held on December 18, 2005 at 12noon to 6pm at the Austin’s Texas Star Meeting and Event Center located at 11810 Manchaca.  A motion was made by Brother Ben Solis and second to increase the budget by $1000.00, which will make the budget up to $7000.00.  Motion pass.

2. The officers discuss again about a copier for the cubicle.  A motion was made by Brother Ben Solis and second to spend up to $18,000.00 for an updated copier for the cubicle.  Motion pass. 

New Business:

1. President Roberts brought forward Sister Linda Daniels name for the vacant position, Asst. Clerk Craft Machine, to be filled.  The E-BD accepts and approved the appointment.

2. President Roberts brought forward Sister Liza Kepner as a steward at the Round Rock Post Offices.  The E-BD accepted and approved the appointment.

3. The Christmas donuts and coffee will be December 14, 2005 at 3pm until December 15, 2005 at 3pm.

4. The officers discuss about appointing someone on each tour to notify the local about members that are sick and deaths.  President Roberts said he would take care of the appointments.

Meeting adjourned at 11:50am.
